Environment Agency Work

The Environment Agency will be doing in the area.

They maintain a number of earth embankments as flood defences and these require regular vegetation cuts to make sure they continue to protect people and property from flooding. They will be cutting the vegetation a number of times between March and October on these defences to prevent tall and woody plants from damaging the banks. This should also help promote native plants and insects.

The Environment Agency has produced a factsheet with more information.
